I graduated from the University of Denver with a Bachelor of
Arts in Religious Studies, emphasizing Asian religions through
the lens of gender and sexuality. Currently I am focusing on
the struggle in Theravada for the official recognition of a
bhkhhuni sangha. I am also interested in the uses of Asian
religious symbols in popular culture in the United States,
both as consumerist exotification as well as means for
spiritual expression.
