I am coming from the University of Illinois (the Champaign0Urbana campus), where I started off as a computer science major and moved into religious studies and political science. My interests center around evolutionary theories of human culture--which encompass subjects like computational sociology, evolutionary psychology, the philosophy and history of science, social epistemology, and cognitive neuroscience. The problems within religious studies I would like to apply these interests to include conversion experiences, charisma (in both modes of the term), revivalism, and syncretism.
