The Religious Studies Fund

Contributions to the Religious Studies Fund of the UC Riverside Foundation have enabled us to expand our annual speakers' series and provide special learning opportunities for students (field trips to museums, study visits to religious sites, and annual scholarships). We now have four student scholarships: The Religious Studies Encouragement Award for a student who is at an early stage in the study of religion and whose initial achievements demonstrate promise and potential; The Barbara and Donald Donner Essay Award which recognizes outstanding writing by an undergraduate; The Religious Studies Achievement Award designed for a major who has demonstrated a meritorious level of work; and The Edwin S. Gaustad Award which goes to a graduating senior or recent graduate who has demonstrated an interest in pursuing graduate studies in religion. We are profoundly grateful to all those whose annual contributions enable us to offer these opportunities. We invite everyone to assist our efforts with contributions.
